Just days after posting another story about an Easter Egg (a winking nod to the audience clued in to a special moment in the show) came another one – this one far more subtle.
 
On Sunday’s episode of "Tracker" on CBS, the hero breaks into a villain’s trailer to look for clues and finds some key evidence hidden in a book. The book was “Edge” by Jeffrey Deaver and the camera stays on it long enough so you can see the title and the author.
 
Jeffrey Deaver is also the author of a novel called “The Never Game” which is the basis of the TV show “Tracker.” He’s billed as one of its executive producers. “Edge” is another of his books, published in 2010.
 
It was a quick shot and I’m betting only a few sharp-eyed viewers saw it. But it was fun to see the nod to the guy who created the program in the show his book helped to launch.
