1280 WNAM WI Neenah will be signing off forever at the end of the year.An unhappy occasion for the station, and for AM radio, but they’re kindly keeping DXers, and their more regular listening audience, in mind with some special programming - which will include Morse code. Morse code is usually pretty easy to detect on a crowded channel. WNAM is also accepting reception reports.Their plan is to send a 30-second messages each hour at :03 minutes after the hour (after ABC News) central time 0000-0600 on Dec 30 and 31 (0100-0700 Toronto time). In part, these will include a Morse code message for DXers to decode.WNAM is fairly common for DXers in Ontario. So anyone here stands a good chance at hearing it. The MTU station on 1280 may be dominant in Toronto but has little presence at night outside the city.
