I have to admit when I think of sitting down to watch a TV show, I rarely think of the so-called FAST channels (Free Ad Supported Television) on the Internet. And I don't really know why - out of sight, out of mind, I guess.
This article reminds me that there's a lot to see on some of them, including Fox-owned Tubi. (Pluto TV is another great source for terrific programming.) In the case of the shows listed at the link, I'm pretty sure you'll need a U.S. VPN, (both have a Canadian version if you don't) and it's worth taking a second look at some of what they offer, with new shows (and even a few originals) being added all the time.
The 15 Best TV Shows You Can Watch For Free On Tubi

Perfect for this time of year ...the series called Dickensian .Set in the Scrooge era with a number of
Dickens characters popping up for this murder mystery. Jacob Marley is actually murdered and there is no shortage of potential suspects. On Tubi ....Enjoy.

I love Tubi actually, it's bookmarked on my browser so that I don't forget to check it out every month for any new programming added to their play list. Really it's best for catching the old B-movies that you'd have rented out on VHS from your local video store back in the day, but now in remastered, higher quality. As well as old TV shows like Dr Who which was always an enjoyable Friday night for me as a kid.

I really enjoy Tubi for all the old documentaries and science shows.

YouTube recently had a video listing 15 movies that were secretly added to Tubi.
They are all old school movie including classics like "Night of the Hunter" and, one that I just watched, the classic "Witness For the Prosecution" What a movie!
Ad interruptions are light.

I first watched “Night of the Hunter” on Elwy Yost’s “Saturday Night at the Movies” on PBS years ago. Such a good, somewhat creepy movie! Ended up buying it on DVD and lent it out to a couple of friends back when.
