Usual Suspects Top Summer Ratings In Buffalo

Perennials like WBLK and the (now receivable in Toronto) country WYRK are in their usual top spots.

Interesting to see how popular the classic hits format is - with both WHTT and WGRF in the Top 5.

I'd love to know how WECK is doing, but they're not listed, leaving me to suspect that owner Buddy Shula does not subscribe to Nielsen. WUSW is there, but the survey was likely taken before the big switch to conservative talk and his take over of AM 1270.

Classic Hits will usually look very good in 12+ numbers like that since they’re disproportionately influenced by 45+ listeners.

Wouldn’t surprise me if WKSE is #1 where it counts.

WECK was in the book, but would have looked terrible to advertisers who buy based on ratings.

So why wasn't it displayed anyway?

It was displayed when he paid to be included.

True. And we'll have to wait a few more books to get a fuller picture of how The Patriot is actually doing. This book actually covers June through August-at that point, it was only The Patriot for not even 2 months.

This was several years ago when WECK was still a subscriber. The station had a middle of the pack 3.5ish share.

KB;s numbers are as abysmal as TSN1050's here. I suspect the only way to improve their numbers would be to obtain the broadcast rights to the Bills and/or Sabres. That isn't going to happen. In 2021, a "multi year" deal was signed to keep the Bills/Sabres broadcasts on GR. The previous deal, in 2012, was for nine years.

They will probably stay that way.  GR and KB both being owned by Audacy, KB is relegated to syndicated sports, sports gambling shills, and overflow games when there is a Bills or Sabres conflict of schedules.

Less than a year ago.

KB isn't meant to get ratings. It's a cog in the bigger Audacy/BET QL deal.
