Depending on whether you have access to the Seattle stations, you could have access to five 1pm games, two 4:05pm games and one 4:25pm game. No avoiding the simsub [legally] on that last game. ATTENTION NON NFL FANS: The 4:25pm game is on FOX, so 60 Minutes will start at 7pm.

If that was directed at me, message received! Thanks for the update.
(Does any network in Canada still carry 60 Minutes anymore? I don't see it listed on Global any longer, although they may still have it, and with the constant football delays every fall, I wonder if it may be more trouble than it's worth.)

RA: I thought of you when typing my message, but it was not specifically meant for you. I am sure you are not the only person here is not a football fan. And yes you are in the minority.

FOX has the DH next Sunday as well. Two weeks in a row with a 60 Minutes 7pm start.

I don't hate the NFL. I hate the over-runs.
In my experience, they never, ever, ever, end on time. Only in football could the final two minutes of the game take about 45 minutes to play. As someone trying to set a DVR for a show that follows, it's an endless weekly irritant.

In the words of the inimitable John McLaughlin, "WRONG!!!"
College basketball, especially during March Madness. Final minutes of a game approach geologic eras in length. 😁

Agreed. The final nine seconds could take five or six minutes to play. Timeouts, fouls, free throws all add up.

Glad I don't watch college basketball! But the difference is that that sport does not generally run over into primetime if I'm not mistaken. (And if I am, I'm sure you guys will let me know!)

This coming Sunday, I am getting five 1pm games and two 4pm games on CTV/TSN. plus the Sunday night game. It's a good package.

Well, it's not March, but this is surely madness.
On Saturday, Sept. 20th, college football will be on in primetime on every single major U.S. network - NBC, CBS, ABC and Fox are all showing different games at 8 PM.
Look I know the sport is popular and Saturday nights are a dumping zone for broadcast TV. But every single network at the exact same time? That's just ridiculous.

When TV is a wasteland for me, I use Hoopla and Kanopy through my Roku. Currently I'm making my way slowly through Death In Paradise, Beyond Paradise and Sherlock Holmes (the version with Benedict Cumberbatch) courtesy of my Library Card.
