Not that anyone will notice, but Sauga 960 has quietly changed its line-up - including moving longtime morning man Marc Patrone to the 9 AM slot. His place has apparently been taken by Norm Murray, who was doing his own show on the station in the 9 o'clock slot.
The changes apparently started this week.
The station has not yet seen fit to update its website, which is now totally out of date, and it's not clear if there are other shows moving around, being cancelled or debuting. I'll be especially interested to see what they do with their afternoon drive slot. After conspiracy theorist Richard Syrett left. he was replaced by - wait for it - rerolls of the Patrone morning show! Yes, their afternoon show was the exact same as their AM drive-in program, which tells you everything you need to know about how this place was being programmed.
I'll be curious to see if that's still in place now, that is if I remember to tune it in, given how forgettable 960 tends to be.

@2 today, it's Ed the sock whining about artificial sweeteners. (he doesn't like them)
I don't normally tune in, so I honestly do not know if this is an encore presentation, but it might be.

Today prior to going into something in English at 7 a.m. they were running South Asian music.
I'm not sure if that was an encore presentation or not.

I just tuned them in during the afternoon rush. Guess what was on? The 9 AM reroll of Marc Patrone.
Even for a small town station, that's pretty pathetic to duplicate your morning and afternoon drive shows.

They would be better off leaving encore presentations of Ed the sock running.
Nobody would notice (that it's not live) and nobody would care.

You could've just said this part.

what's that old saying: If a tree falls in the forest and there is no one there...does it make a sound?
My view of Sauga960

Does anyone actually listen?

No. Most likely only the employees and the four people on this forum

I don't actually listen. It's just that it's an existing GTA radio station so every once in a while I go over there to hear what they're up to.
Turns out, it's rarely anything.
How they make any money (and yes, a lot of it is paid time) is beyond me.
