I watch NBC Nightly News every evening. Have they explained yet why they did at least a full week of shows in Miami? Seems an odd choice unless there's a good reason.

I'm guessing they just wanted to highlight the Miami roots of their Nightly News star for World News Tonight viewers who couldn't find David Muir after the WPLG affiliation switch.

Unless people have been too polite to correct him, I would guess he's pronouncing Miami correctly since he's from there.
