There is a story on the Globe's site [paywalled] that Corus will close ABC Spark, Nickelodeon, Disney XD, La Chaine Disney and Disney Jr. on Sept. 1.

So I guess this leaves them with Cartoon Network and their own YTV in that genre.

"In other news, shareholders have been asked to vote on approval for a name change from 'Corus' to 'Gore Us'."

None are channels I have ever, or would ever watch. No great loss for me.

It's actually a reprint of a Canadian Press story, so you can read it for free elsewhere.

It must be tough running terrestrial kids' channels these days. I know any kids I know wouldn't have the first clue where to find the kids 'TV channels, and would be frustrated as hell that they can't start the shows when they want, skim through them, etc. Also, there's a good chance the channels wouldn't have the shows anyway—Bluey, Chip & Potato, Ms. Rachel, etc.
What do I know, though? I was a girl in the village doing alright, then I became a princess overnight!

4 out of the 5 channels affected are Disney properties so what does this tell ya?, with Nickelodeon being owned by Paramount.

With StackedTV those channels were in your face. Watching what you want was never a problem.

Just lock the doors on Corus already and move on

But the kids aren't interested. They hop on YouTube, speak whatever they want to watch, and watch it.
I remember when my youngest daughter wanted to change the channel on tv, she was just a couple of years old, she walked up to the tv and swiped across it. She couldn't figure out why the channel wouldn't change.
