I thought I was the only person that would like to have joked that the calls stood for WRECK, but misspelled .  I felt that way back when WECK reduced the 70s and early 80s spins on the station though.  I suppose the new format on 1270 will "trump" oldies though

I'll likely laugh harder at some of the opinions on this station than I ever did when Funny820 existed.

First off, this is not Talk 1270. It is WUSW 1270 The Patriot “Buffalos Conservative Talk”. There is a huge difference from “Monday morning quarterbacks” like you, and people who actually know how to create and run winning radio stations, like me.

WBEN is already in reaction mode to The Patriot. Let’s talk a year from now and see how wrong you were, again.

He never said you were Talk 1270.  He was comparing you to the previous format.

Thanks for the branding lesson by the way.  It's really cute how you spelled "Buffalo's" (as in possessive) without the bloody comma.  And throwing around the term "idiot", there's real class right there!

Well, that's disappointing. I actually have great respect for Mr. Shula (or had!) considering how he took a one-lung local frequency on 1230 AM and transformed it into a truly great radio station that's attracted a lot of attention. 

I was just expressing my sadness at losing the ability to hear it over-the-air here in Toronto and making a silly joke about the call letters. It was actually a compliment in a way to be sorry not to be able to get it anymore because I enjoyed the station so much.

And yes, Canadians mean nothing to your newcomer on 1270, nor should they. No one on this side of the border, besides this board, really knows it exists or will be listening. You can, of course, do whatever you want with WUSW, and I'm sure there will be an audience for it down south. But insulting people who admired you maybe isn't the way to attract the best PR. 

I'm actually flattered that a station owner reads us from time to time and hope you'll be back soon, although with a less arrogant attitude. And as for geoblocking WECK, a VPN takes care of that issue quite nicely. So I'll still be tuning in from time to time with or without your permission!

It's akin to saying 'Beetlejuice' three times.

I'd have to liken Buddy's management style to that of a seagull: Comes in, shits and flies away.  Whether Buddy wants it or not (and I strongly suspect he does), he will pull in an audience on the Canadian side of the border.  As mentioned a while ago in another thread, you only have to look at Crawford's audience numbers in Canada and listen to the percentage of them that support Trump.  With the audience numbers that Fox News and Newsmax pull in the US, I think he will do okay with the format change and give WBEN some competition.  As I do with WBEN, I will listen to WUSW, though I probably will find myself shouting back at the radio more often.
