Wasn't the anchor on the right also a Canadian guy from CTV?  Later in the 90s perhaps?

When I was in LA. in 1986, I got to see a live taping of his show Fight Back. Yes I was on television several times clapping like a trained seal going to commercial breaks and closing credits. The one thing I will always remember was sitting in the KNBC lobby waiting to enter the studio. The producer came out to explain why family and friends couldn't sit together during the taping. I knew that he was trying to explain that too many people wearing a similar colour sitting together in the audience would not look good on the broadcast. However, the poor guy said we are going to have to separate you by colour. Immediately, a large black gentleman exclaimed Yup, just like home in Georgia. I have never seen someone's face turn red so fast. He then laughed and said relax son I know what you were trying to explain. I'm not at all offended
