I get the idea that when the Jays and the Leafs overlap and the Fan is committed to the former the hockey gets shunted over to 680. But why is the all newser airing the Leafs game 7 on Sunday night? I've heard them promoting the fact they'll be running the finale, but it doesn't make sense in this case.
The Jays play the Tigers at 1:30 PM Sunday, while the Leafs face off against the Panthers at 7:30 PM. So unless the baseball match goes 6 hours - extremely unlikely - why not just leave it on the Fan and continue the regular format? I'm wondering if the promo was an error, because I haven't heard them refer to it again.
Last week, by the way, 680 also had one of the Leaf games. When the Jays ended on 590, both stations were simulcasting the same thing, which seemed like a real waste. However, I suppose there was no way to cut off 680 mid-game and tell people to tune in the Fan, so the first time I can remember, it aired on both frequencies in the same city at the same time.

680 should have been able to end their coverage as a period was ending.
Just before going to intermission, that would have been the ability to switch over to their proper news wheel.
The listener could have easily been informed at the end of a period, just before intermission begins.

Then they must have made an error when they announced this this morning. I knew it didn't make any sense.

Bell and rogers are making to much arors for large broadcasters.
How's a blind leef fan saposedto know what station the game's airing on?
My salution is just to flip through my hd radio, ither 92.5 hd2 or 99.9 hd3.
1010 should just take all the games, it would be better programming than the ted radio hour that airs tonight.
Just speaches for leftists and influencers tonight at 8 on 1010.
