Ever wonder how you could be in several cities at the same time? One weather woman has figured it out. Amy Freeze (a great name for a meteorologist!) has effectively cloned herself and now provides weather forecasts via her own Artificial Intelligence clone.
She doesn't hide the fact she's machine generating herself, although viewers may not clue in thanks to the smooth video quality of the computer generated figure. And it's keeping her busy.
"Currently, these virtual Amy Freezes are pumping out 27 forecasts a day across nine different local markets with plans to expand to 16 cities soon."
The article at the link below explains how she came up with the idea and what it took to get her A.I. off the ground.
You don't have to be a computer expert to realize she knows which way the wind is blowing in the TV industry.
Can Carl Lam be far behind?
So is it convincing? You decide by checking out the video.
A TV Meteorologist Builds An AI Avatar That Creates Its Own Forecasts

I think A.I. would be a vast improvement over the stumbling and bumbling attempts by the CTV News@6 anchors to deliver a Toronto weather forecast when the actual presenter is off.

Still something unnatural about this avatar. The delivery is flat. The body movement is stiff to almost being corpse like. Sorry if this were a real weather presenter I would be looking elsewhere, this "presenter" lacks something - humanity.
