I think the real point of all this is, an FM tower costs a lot less to maintain than an AM tower.

So who's next in Ontario to make the switch?
Depends on availability of FM signals in a particular market.
1220 AM is expected to sign on soon as Grapevine 1220, if that will ever happen.
If or when it does, that will keep music on AM alive while everything else is committed to News/talk/sports.

Another AM signal goes away. About a year ago CKSL 1410 from London was shut off.
The current CJCS 250 watt transmission on 1240 khz gets out very well through the day and their new 107.1 signal is going to crash right into WSAQ from Port Huron Michigan if you go very far to the west.
Perhaps they can sell the parcel of land where the AM tower is located if they own it.
