Nothing hugely exciting tropo-wise. CIDC 103.5 was on severely reduced power, noted mid-morning, and WMUZ Detroit was in its stead. Heard as far as Chicago on 90.1 (Moody Radio) and 97.1 (The Drive) and Grand Rapids MI 97.9. But these are powerhouses and the signals were weak. Of more interest is the annual (Aug 10-13) Perseid meteor shower. Listening to static punctuated by occasional bursts of signal is like listening to paint dry, so I record and run through Audacity later on looking for visual signal spikes. The Tr might shift to the east a bit tonight, so I'll be watching for that even as I go for a refreshing dive into the lake and watch the shootout gallery overhead.

Pretty solid close-in Tr to Detroit, Lansing. Niagara DXer getting Ottawa, Trois Rivieres. WLKK 107.7 is Country and while Wethersfield NY isn't far, it's putting a dent into adjacent Barrie 107.5, at my North Kawartha location. Heard 100.1 the Ranch in Listowel for the first time here.

Here at my location in Westport, Ontario about an hour north of Kingston, I had received FM signals via tropo from London, ON to Sherbrooke, Quebec!

Since moving here in 2015, these below FM stations are now my farthest catches via tropo.

August 12 into 13, 2021 between 10:30 PM ET and 2:00 AM ET.

92.7 CJBX-FM London, ON "Pure Country 93" Strong! NEW!
103.9 CKDK-FM Woodstock, ON "Country 104" Strong! NEW!
102.7 CITE-FM-1 Sherbrooke, QC Strong NEW! over WLYK 102.7 Cape Vincent, NY/Kingston, ON

Had a lot of FM's from central, southern and parts of southwestern Ontario like Buffalo, Niagara, Hamilton, Tillsonburg, Toronto, Orangeville, including, Quebec: Montreal, Sherbrooke, and Vermont, etc. were all coming in like local! I had thought CIDC-FM 103.5 "Z103.5" Orangeville decreased their signal? I had them in like local on my Grundig G8 Traveller II Digital radio!

Wow if WLKK was that powerful to interfere with 107.5 in Barrie on the adjacent frequency, I could imagine that WLKK blasted through CKDO's FM transmitter on the same frequency on 107.7 in the Oshawa area, which I've never received yet! I never really checked 107.7 but I had Weathersfield, NY here in Westport before when they were a rock station. I wonder how many more times WLKK will change formats! I didn't receive any stations from Trois-Riviere, Quebec oddly but as I said in my earlier post, I had Sherbrooke as my most eastern tropo catch.

We're only in mid-August so I'm sure we'll have more great FM DX tropo hopefully before the winter arrives!

Rocket 105 & Star 104 tried their best to chime into downtown Toronto, but they both had a real AM station feel to them as they faded in and out.  
 

Driving in Pickering on Liverpool just now I heard North Bays new kiss at 100.5 quite clearly before it faded.. I was close to the lake.
