Apple TV+ & Disney+ Near Launch: What's In Them For You?

The Star examines the pros and cons of the newest streaming services soon to be available in Canada. Is anyone here thinking of shelling out the money for either of these?

Apple TV+ and Disney+ are about to launch in Canada. What’s in it for you?

Nothing of interest to me  on these streaming services that I would open my wallet for. Most of what is offered would be of little interest to me  even if it were available free. I will continue to view my NFL/CFL/NHL/MLB , documentaries from PBS and a dozen or so of the scripted  sitcoms/dramas offered by the U.S. networks.

A man (a Mace?) after my own heart. I don't subscribe to any streaming service and my OTA DVR is already stuffed with more shows than I will probably ever have time to watch. (In fact, there are a few programs on there from 2014, which I still naively believe I will get to someday.)

But at least I didn't have to pay for any of it!

Zero interest in Apple TV+. I haven't bought any of their devices in years so I wouldn't get a sub for free and the offerings seem extremely meagre as a standalone service.

I do not worship the house of mouse, so Disney+ isn't all that interesting either. There's some library stuff I'm interested in that could support a temporary subscription, but not something longterm.
