Those in Windsor will be interested to know the inevitable is coming sooner than later. A lot sooner.
With more than a month to go to the big day, WNIC-FM has confirmed it will be following the All Yule rule beginning Nov. 6th - for some reason, on a Thursday.
The station is planning a huge promotional gathering to let listeners know what's coming.

CHFI tends to hold onto a tradition of going all Christmas on the day of Toronto's Santa Claus Parade.
I doubt they will start any sooner.
If this stays true, CHFI will not go all Christmas until Sunday November 23, 2025.

It’s always a weekday in prime-time for maximum impact. I’m going with 8am on the 21st

In the September book, WNIC is 2nd with a 7.9 behind WXYT at 8.4. I suspect NIC will blow by The Ticket in November and December and return to 2nd place in January.

The only "Pro" on that list I consider positive is the Charlie Brown Christmas Soundtrack LP by Vince Guaraldi.

Closer to home, Townsquare's WTSS 96.1 in Buffalo officially flipped to all Christmas on Saturday. Seems a bit early to me (they haven't even celebrated Thanksgiving in the U.S. yet) but they claim on their website they're the only station going all Xmas in Western New York. Perhaps they mean they're the only ones so far.

Love it or hate it, the stats continue to say this works to drive up audience numbers. So expect a lot more.
"The numbers are staggering. In just the top 3 markets, the sum audience cume growth of the three iHeart Christmas stations was over 5 and a half million. This is the greatest marketing opportunity for every client and every station in the cluster."
That being said, Jan. 2nd can't come soon enough for me!

I certainly would not want to live with the person who likes Christmas music all year round.

My favourite Christmas song remains Bob Rivers The Twelve Pains of Christmas. Can you imagine CHFI playing that? NOT!!

For those of us along the Lake Huron shoreline and St Clair River WBTI FM 96.9 from Lexington Michigan began Christmas music this week. I noticed it Tuesday November 4. They will play until the end of New Years Day. They have a fairly large playlist.
