Familiar Voice Coming Back To Niagara-Area Radio

I used to work with the great Evelyn Macko at CFTR and often wondered what happened to her. Turns out she got a gig at a station in Collingwood during the pandemic days, but hasn't been heard much from in these parts in a long while, after her time at Q107, AM640  and CFRB ran out.

Now she's coming back to the GTHA environs, landing the afternoon news reading slot on MyBroadcasting's Giant-FM and New Country 89.1. She's certainly familiar with the area. One of her first on air news jobs was at CKTB St. Catharines before she arrived in Toronto.

It will be nice to hear that voice again.

So safe to say she will be doing her shift from the comfort of her home similar to the recent posting about Lisa Brandt who now does a news shift from her home studio in Port Stanley?

Ev's station is physically located in Welland correct?

FP, we've talked about this before. I know you hate political topics, especially about things down south. Frankly, so do I. But this post doesn't make any sense to me. What is political about where Ms. Macko does her newscast, true or not? I fail to see the reason for your outage and have gotten complaints from others about this.

Please stop these outbursts, especially when there's no reason for them. I haven't banned anyone from this site in a long while, but if you can't control yourself, you might force my hand. Please don't!

On-topic: Evelyn Macko is amazing, it'll be nice to her her dulcet tones again.

WOW! What does politics have to do with wanting to know where a radio station is physically located?

Re: Familiar Voice Coming Back To Niagara-Area Radio

I read the headline for the post and the first two I thought of was the late great John Michael, and then I thought maybe Tom McConnell, one can only dream.
All the best Evelyn
