An Ontario radio station is already playing Christmas music

It is CJET-FM Jack 92.3 in Smith Falls and they are playing Christmas music after Halloween. Remember when Star 102.5 in Buffalo used to switch on the Christmas tunes after Halloween? Well now Jack FM in Smith Falls is doing as well.

This is probably Rogers' smallest station.

They do this so they can run an all-Christmas stream on various platforms and pay radio royalties rather than the higher streaming royalties.

Yes for years 102.5 was Buffalo's "Christmas Station" Now that job belongs to 96.1 WTSS. The flip to "Holiday Hits" happens November 1.

I heard a spot yesterday on Kiss 105.3 Sudbury for an all Christmas music channel now airing on Seekr. I will not be seeking it out.
