speaking of cheeky banter, has anyone else noticed (and this is a question) that when Maureen Holloway was on the Mighty Q she was rather "cheeky" but on CHFI-98 she sounds like the less-cheeky Erin Davis?

The long awaited station "aimed at tradespeople" finally goes on the air on April 26th at 7 AM London time (which is 2 in the morning here, so I doubt a lot of us will be up to hear it - if indeed it's streaming.) They have a countdown clock on their website and not much more - with the exception of a slogan: "We're Nailing It!"

According to a U.K. online article, those behind "Fix Radio," which certainly sounds like a gimmick format, actually appear to have thought this out. They've arranged for the station to be playing in lunch rooms and on catering trucks around the U.K., they plan to be handing out free food at 1,400 construction sites to promote the newcomer, they've purchased a jingle package and they've signed four months worth of advertisers in advance.

There's no immediate word if they'll provide a "listen online" feature, but I'm sure at some point they'll hammer that out.
