I call this time period The Dead Zone of the sports world

Yes. This sports world dead zone is the answer to a great trivia question. What are the only two days of the year where no professional major league sports are played in North America? The day before and after the MLB All Star game.

Racing fans get the short stick again as TSN has not picked up the SRX Series races that ESPN is broadcasting live beginning tonight as they revamp the Thursday Night Thunder moniker . TSN has 5 channels, with repeats on some of them. Nice.

This would be the month for UFEA cup or World Cup but not this year. As for Le Tour, well now you must pay to watch it.

There is a CFL game tonight.
Don't be dissin' the Canadian game.  I'm not a big fan of football, but would take a CFL game over the NFL any day of the year.

There’s a pretty good golf tournament. Genesis Scottish Open started today (Thursday) and runs through the weekend.
