I did the same thing sometimes when we went up to my grandpa's cottige in haliberton.
There was a lot of deadzones on both AM and FM
At his cottige, we could only get 93.5 moose fm or 100.9 canoo fm.
Surprisingly, we could'nt get any cbc station to my 7 year old knolage at the time.

CJTM is one of those campus stations mostly for hipsters.
I ment, one like they have in smaller cities.
Toronto is a good city for a station like CKWR was with AC during the day, specialty shows in evenings, and ethnic programs on weekends.

Maybe they could add some indiginess programing.

John, if you want your stations to be local, learn from bayshore and have a news centre, a lunchtime magazene show, specialty programs on the myfm and country stations, and have more local staff on the myfm stations and local morning shows.
When i've listened to the myfms, they sound the exact same.
Same playlist, simular programing, short local snipits, and no local morning show.
Small cities and towns nead extralocal radio, now more than ever.

Just tuned into the region to hear what they are up to.
And I think there's a format change that happened.
I just heard south-asian programming and bollywood music.
The anouncer said in english radio y 24/7 which means they are not just broakering half the day.
Did they sell with out crtc aprouval?
Or are they just broakering?
The music sounds nice and they speak a mix of hindi and english so I understud some of what the 2 femail hosts were saying.

Every one's talking about CKTB.
But what about bounce or move?
Are they planning stunt formats?
Move was adding some soft ac songs.
I think they might go softer.

Cant whate to hear the new programing.
I'm getting sick and tired of the boring old bell talkshows, so I swiched to 640 on 95.3 hd2.
Hopefully CKTB gets put on 97.7 hd2 or 3.

Agreed.  Case in point, J.D. Power Agency.  Years ago I was advised that agency will always find some category that your product or service will rank highly in, providing you have contracted with them.  When I see or hear 'J.D. Power' I automatically think 'bought endorsement'.

Whiteoaks, CHIN, even CINA will be better off running it.

On the weakend, I did a lot of listening to CKTB.
What I notised, they played a lot of old promos, pre recorded programs, and old weather reports.
Even there usualy live sonday morning show was a rerun and they were playing jazz music from about 6:45 am to 7 o clock.
Is the whiteoaks takeover happening this weak or is it just a normal bell glich?
There was a veg post from whiteoaks on linkedin about 5 days agow thanking people for being patiunt.

Its like bell and there pure country brand.
Pure country is a stream on iheart and a subchannel on 99.9 hd4 and its not called pure country toronto.

I don't know much about the licensing of ethnic stations.  Are they only licensed to carry certain languages?
 

Nothing on the HD sub-channels is regulated at all.

They don't have pharsi or tamil on there main station, but hd3 is in tamil as thaalam and hd4 was a persian station.
I think the name was radio arina.
