I've long been a fan of CKTB's early Sunday morning show that starts at 6 AM, with the so-called "Secret Hour," where host Karl Dockstader and his producer Ryan Williams kibitz with each other over everything and nothing. It's usually pretty entertaining, especially considering that - outside of 680 News - it's the only live show left at that time on the last day of the weekend.
So I was disappointed to tune in on Sunday and hear there were "changes" coming to the show and apparently, to CKTB itself now that the new owners have taken over. Dockstader hinted that the changes would likely not be all that drastic but listeners might notice them, whatever that means.
One of them is that Williams - who has a great on-air chemistry with the host - is leaving the station to go to Whiteoaks' Hamilton outlet, The Legend 102.9, where he'll serve as the morning show producer. It's too soon to know if his replacement will have the same sense of humour and chemistry that he brought to the show he's departing from.
As to what the other "changes" may be, they didn't really elaborate, but I'm sure they'll become obvious in time. But while I'll miss this dynamic duo, at least the show will continue and remain the only live general talk show on early Sunday morning radio in Southern Ontario.
But I suspect it just won't be the same.

The final episode with these two was all about radio and the changes to the Sunday morning show - what effects to keep and what to lose, among other things. It was one of those rare moments when a radio show was talking about nothing but radio. Very entertaining.

I believe you have mentioned “Secret Hour” in the past RA and it’s too bad that they’re changing it on you, but at least it wasn’t canceled. A few years back I really enjoyed David Marsden’s show weekend evenings on The Rock, the best music show on radio at the time IMO. In 2014 they announced the show was done and promoted the last airdate. When I tuned in for the finale, it didn’t air, I guess CKGE changed it up. Anyways, my point is I was a bit “saddened” not hearing the last show, especially my favourite at the time and didn’t have closure!
So now I listen to Danny Marks’ BLUZ FM, on Saturdays after the game. Different type of music but well presented and fairly chill! Hopefully it will stick around!

I hope they replace the bell programs with expanded local programs and u.s based lifestyle talkshows about pets, parenting, and advice.

Why would you want US-based programming - even if the programming you listed is somewhat universal?
(I'd ask this question regardless of who is living at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue)
