I was just in a No Frills. When I turned into the cereal aisle, the first cereals to be seen were the ones loaded with sugar - and there were a lot of them - almost all with kid attention grabbing logos and graphics. At the end of the cereal selection, the Shredded Wheat, the Raisin Bran and the Bran Buds.

"=12pxSpeaking of Zoomer.  Did you know that they were reasonably popular in Buffalo back around 2005/06 and they had a Adult Standards format under the calls of CHWO at 740?"
That was before Moses bought 740, when it was still the Caine family (Whiteoaks Communications) that owned it.

Can't understand why individuals and especially corporations, don't have a backup plan.
I use Macrium Reflect.
I image my computers nightly, keeping 5 nights rolling. Also before any update/upgrade/install/uninstall. And it makes it vey easy to change drives.
Macrium has Image Guardian, which locks the image so Ransomware can't affect it. Get hacked, just restore the last image. You only lose whatever you've done since you made the last image.
Windows only.
On Mac, Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper, but I don't know if they have protection for their images.
For individuals with programs without protection, the best option is to image to a portable drive, then disconnect the drive, because, if it's not  connected, it can't be infected.
For corporations, air gap.

"Yes they did. My memories are hazy as I was very young the last time I had them, but I seem to remember they were kind of like McDonald's fries.

Incidentally, there is still a Red Barn building in Mississauga. It's on Dundas about halfway between the 427 and Dixie Road. It has been a Mr. Sub for decades."

That's the Red Ban I got my fries from. And, yes, they were like McDonald's fries now.

Our condo owns the cable in the building going to each unit. We switched from Rogers "Cable" and a NextBox K to the Ignite Entertainment boxes in April. Rogers also included their 1 GB Ignite Internet and Modem and some other extras. However, the signal is still delivered via cable, this time to the Modem and not the NextBox. While I could use it with Wireless, I've got a Cat 6 cable going to the Entertainment box.

Not sure how Rogers would plan on delivering Ignite TV and Internet in our building if they're not going to use cable.

When I worked in that building (at CKKW), I was told the outside walls were double bricked and there was a large supply of the same bricks in storage for repairs/expansion. Should be a "fun" demolition.

I also remember it could be confusing getting around the internal stairways.

It's a given that all deaths are now vaccine related, at least to some. Elon Musk speculated via X (formerly Twitter and, given that others may have the right to "X", possibly Twitter again) within 30 minutes of the Bronny James news, that, with no evidence, the cause could be the COVID 19 vaccine. Facts and scientists and doctors and experts are to be completely ignored, denigrated and despised in favour of, more and more, the most outrageous "alternative facts" possible from completely deranged sources.

At the last signing for the Canadian NHL rights, Gary Bettman et al wanted one entity to talk to, not the several deal makers they had previously dealt with. IIRC, Bell thought they had a deal, but Rogers got the nod. The NHL didn't care if the rights holder then made deals with other companies, they just wanted one "face" to deal with. The deal also included current and any future delivery technology.

Personally, while many did and still do deride the deal at $5.2 billion over 12 years ($433.33 per year average), and the revenue wasn't and isn't as good as Rogers projected, I still think it was a good deal. No one else in Canada had anywhere near the hockey games Rogers had and will have for 12 years, blocking out the competition for all 12 years. That said, I won't be surprised if Rogers signs again - or doesn't.

Unfortunately, the British Tabloids and Social Media don't give a toss for someone's reputation, only the salacious details, true or not. They also know recompense only comes at the end of a successful trial. By that time one who is innocent is already ruined.

In this age of social media, the 24/7 news cycle and, particularly in the UK, a rabid press, trying to not "out" someone who is supposed to be innocent until proven guilty is extremely difficult if not impossible. Any entity who tries is immediately pilloried and anyone who is identified before being proven guilty and is eventually found innocent never gets their reputation back or sometimes even their job.

Question for anyone with Ignite.  I have Bell 1 gig internet service and would not stop using it, as it is reliable.  I cannot find a link on Rogers' website to ignite TV pricing or packaging if you don't subscribe to their internet service.  I am looking to purchase a basic (lowest tier) TV package, TSN/Sportsnet, MSNBC and a few other news channels.  Bell will not sell me CBC News or other services unless I pay $7 per month per channel or buy a large $20/month package.   Is there a cheaper way to get news channels on Ignite, without having to spend a lot of $$$?  The other question can you stream MSNBC to your device such as an ipad "out of home"?  Bell has a restriction that you can only view MSNBC in your hone residence.  Which sucks because in the USA, all of their "cable" and "IPTV" affiliates offer out of home streaming.
Bell is so out of touch with the marketplace!!!!  Their off-shore customer service reps don't have any answers, in terms of (more) economicial combos without having to take their top tier of services, to get channels that I actually watch.

AFAIK, Rogers Ignite TV is delivered via Rogers Ignite Internet, so no splitting them. I have the time shifting packages for Canada and the US (can't have the US one without the Canadian one). They are $3 each per month plus HST.

I get WNED channel 17 on my Rogers Ignite. I don't get channel 17.1, which I'm presuming is one of their HD tier stations. I've looked at all of June 1 and 2 for the program, on my Ignite guide, but it's not there. AFAIK, WNED is the only PBS station airing this documentary. I do get PBS Detroit and PBS Seattle. Searching online doesn't show any other PBS station. I'll keep looking as June 2 approaches just in case the guide is in error - which would be no surprise.

In addition to the Hawks Nest and Le Coq d'Or, there was the Coal Bin and a few more. IIRC, a group of lawyers owned something like 6 clubs back in those days.
