John Angus-MacDonald is the lead guitarist for the veteran Canadian group and has snagged his own show on The Rock 94.9, aka CKGE. He's the latest musician to get behind a mic and his show, called Generation Next Radio, will feature up-and-coming unsigned bands he thinks deserve more exposure.
The show isn't new - it's been on for a dozen years - but the guy fronting it is. He takes over from other musicians who have hosted it in the past, beginning January 18th.
It airs weeknights at 8 PM and on weekends with an 11 AM episode and a repeat at 8 o'clock that night.
CKGE is an interesting station that doesn't get a lot of mention here. But it also employs radio veteran Lee Eckley, who's worked at Q107, CHUM-FM and CFNY, and may be the only GTA station outside of CFTR that has an actual live all night local show, featuring Ed The Sock.

My sons band Break The Trend was featured on that program some years back. the host, whose name escapes me now, played a song from their EP every night at 8pm and repeated on the weekend. It is a great service that 94.9 provides.
. My boy is lead guitar , SRV hat and sunglasses.
