The real estate agent was back in the 7-10 AM slot this weekend, after Anthony Furey sat in the chair seven days ago.
It appears Morrison is the new de facto host of Toronto This Weekend, and while I'm sure she's a very nice lady and a good realtor, she may not be the best choice to front six hours of radio on Saturday and Sunday.
Even if you hate Furey's political stands (and I know many here do) he's still a news person and a former reporter who understands what issues are worth talking about, and has the knowledge to do so.
No offence to Ms. Morrison, but I'd vastly prefer Furey in that slot than her. But it looks like the decision has been made.

I haven't heard her on air, is it possible it is bought time ? Does she talk about her real estate interests at all ?

I think she does a real estate segment, but they were doing that since the show started with Ben Mulroney. It's not paid time, it's a 640 program. But I don't think she's the right host, given some of the topics they cover. (But some of that could be her producer's choice based on her interests.)

640, the former 'Radio for Guys' is now 'Radio for Gals', at least on Sunday mornings. Pretty bland stuff, overall.

I was thinking her deal may have been similar to Greg Carrasco's when he had his Saturday morning show on 640.

Doesn't feel the same as Greg's show - she doesn't really push her real estate

Whatever happened to that guy? Not that I miss him in the least.

I'm not sure who lays out the topics for this show, but whoever it is, has destroyed a good thing.
Let me get this straight - a rare Ontario winter election has just been called, the federal government hopefuls are looking for a new leader who will become P.M., 25% tariffs could be imposed on us next week and more.
And what did Ms. Morrison see fit to lead off her show with this week and last? What was your favourite summer job? What's your favourite cookie? And on Sunday morning, the gripping topic of what do you eat for breakfast? (To be fair, the snap election was her second topic, but not until after a break around 7:20 AM. Not exactly a gripping opening.)
You may not be a fan of former hosts Ben Mulroney or Anthony Furey. But when they were fronting this thing on AM640, they at least started the show with something major that was going on in the world.
It now appears it's a case of strike up the bland.
It was not a change for the better.

Greg Carrasco still does a live Saturday morning broadcast , on Sauga 960 , so has limited reach as far as signal strength. I listened to him for a couple of hours yesterday on my laptop here in Chelmsford about 5 hours north of the GTA. He now is part of the ownership group of Direct Nissan and manages the dealership.
I know there are members who here hold Carrasco in disdain, I'm not sure why. I've met him in person, he is a good person, works hard and is a proud Canadian . That man came here from South America with no knowledge of the English language , served in our military , and has made a successful life for himself and his family. I still have the Slacker Nation T shirt he gave me and I wish him good health and happiness going forward. Live long and prosper Greg.

I noticed this weekend that Anthony Furey has joined Davelle Morrison as co-host of the weekend morning show. Not sure if this is permanent or just because of the tariff breaking story, and they want someone with a news background on to back her up.
It has instantly made the show better, and regardless of what you think of Furey's politics, his reporter's experience is something Ms. Morrison cannot replicate. I hope it continues in the coming weeks, although they should use him more. When she was conducting interviews on Saturday, Furey's voice was rarely heard until after the chat was over.
Unless those conversations were pre-recorded, it was a waste of his presence.

I too wondered if they were pre-recorded. I would imagine not all guests are down for a live appearance on a Sat/Sun morning (unlike the incessant Glenn Crouter, who never seems to be far from a mic and when one station kills his segment or reformats/removes the surrounding show entirely, he seems to crop up on another station). She might bank a few of them on a Thursday or Friday.
I thought the show worked well in the co-host format that let Morrison and Furey banter a bit.
Though Morrison has a steady job already as a real estate agent, which in that world is often 7 days/week with showings, etc. Is she really wanting this Sat/Sun morning radio slot as additional workload? I guess if she's having fun with it, it's not "work"?

I always thought Greg Currasco was a strange guy.
His whole life seems to be about selling cars, yet on his 640 radio show he used to tell people that buying a vehicle was the worst financial investment you could make.
He also disparaged the importance people place in what kind of car they drive.
It would be like going to a doctor who says, oh you really don't want to follow my advice... too many people just obsess about their health.
personally, smoking is not asll that bad really... it takes many years to make you sick....etc..
