The act that was supposed to ensure AM would be made available in all new cars made in the U.S. failed to pass into law before the American election, although it could still be revised in the next session.

But despite that, giant automakers Ford, Chevrolet and Toyota have all decided to keep the band in their new electric vehicles, even though the cars themselves may cause interference to the signals. 

They join a growing list of manufacturers that have maintained AM in their electric models, including Nissan, Kia, Hyundai, Subaru and Honda.
