Imagine being a reporter for a major Los Angeles news radio station and having to go on air, even as your house burns down. That's just one of the experiences for a woman working for KNX in L.A., who continued to do her work while her whole world was literally going up in flames. 

Reporters are working 24/7 trying to cover an unprecedented emergency that will likely change that city forever.

Radio Ink talked to KNX News Director Alex Silverman about the tragedies and the triumphs of keeping the coverage going amidst terrible odds, overwhelming exhaustion and even no cell phone service in spots.
