While there are often cameras allowed in courts in the U.S., it happens a lot less in Canada. Which explains why the era of the court room sketch artist isn't over yet. But even if their drawings of some of the biggest trials is the only glimpse we see of what's going on inside a courtroom, those who do it for a living find it can be hard on their emotions amidst upsetting testimony and deadlines.

I read this in the Star yesterday, interesting piece! I must say, this relic loves his Saturday newspapers! I do wonder if they’ll ever switch to photos in court in Canada full time.
