Yes, he did, and given the sensitivities of recent world events, I think he's crazy. But in scanning the Christmas Day dial, I came across a reroll of his show on Sauga960 and heard him actually give out the number on air. I can't imagine that will end well.
But I suppose you could surmise no one is listening, so it won't really matter. But that's not what Berkovitz says. I also heard him bragging that the ratings for his show, which runs from 9 AM-noon weekdays on the station, are soaring and that they have an ever-expanding huge audience. I find that hard to imagine, given that I've yet to run into anyone who listens to CKNT or even knows what it is. And he does tend to be the King of Hyperbole.
That said, I'm not sure how he can make that claim and back it up. Perhaps I should call his cell phone and ask him!

He also just convicted Luigi Mangione, the man accused of killing that Health Care Company executive in New York City several weeks ago. Berkovitz told listeners the accused committed the murder in cold blood and that he's "guilty of first degree murder."
A lot of clues point to Mangione indeed being the killer, but he's pleaded not guilty to the charge and is considered innocent until proven guilty. You can't go on air and convict someone, no matter how heinous the crime or how strong the evidence, until he's been pronounced culpable in court.
He needs to be more careful or he could open up both himself and his station to a huge lawsuit, although Sauga960 is so small, I doubt most would even notice.

I say at least text him. Hasn't he written on the board in the past

I remember when he was on, was it 1010 or 640?
Anyway he exaggerated everything
He claimed he had huge ratings back then... and didn't he also claim to be a rabbi?
Sauga seems to be a home for some very strange people/

The only people who might bother to call will be irate customers, based on Omni's on-line reviews. Jack's ads were as ubiquitous, and annoying, as Spence and Alpine Credit back in the day. I haven't heard one of his spots for years. Is he still in business?

It may not surprise you that the only place I've ever heard him advertise on a regular basis is the one station where he's currently on air. His spots stopped when he left CFRB, began again on 640 when he did a show there and stopped when he departed.
So yes, he advertises regularly on Sauga960. I haven't heard his shilling anywhere else.

He shills on 960? That would explain why I never hear them. Merry Christmas, RadioActive. Thanks for all you do.

Funny how he only advertises on a station where he also has a show. Wonder if this is comped somehow.
Merry Christmas back at you, sir.

i remember hearing Gordon Sinclair once saying on his ten to noon newscast, "A guy robbed a bank at such-and-such an intersection yesterday. I think his name was."

Jack should learn to pay his bills.
