Hello, I’m writing from the Outreach team at the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC). We have an open consultation on the future of radio in Canada called “Share your thoughts about the modernization of radio processes” We’re reaching out to folks who might be interested in how we can update the rules that radio broadcasters need to follow to be more flexible. The focus is for all of Canada, including Southwestern Ontario, but we're happy to hear from our American neighbours too.
We’re looking at topics like license terms, renewals and reporting requirements, and if you think of something we’ve missed, we’d love to hear from you. Please visit our website to participate in this consultation or write to sensibilisation-outreach@crtc.gc.ca if you have questions. Thanks for reading!

By the way, if you're wondering, this is real. I checked out this poster's credentials before approving her and she is, in fact, with the CRTC. So if you have any comments to make, it's legit and will be read by someone in Hull. I appreciate them reaching out to the combined wisdom of SOWNY members.

Hello.
Please have more incentives for Canadian broadcasters to use HD radio and for the ones that do, please have incentives for them to have programing other than their AM stations on their subchannels.

There's not much more the CRTC can do....they already have given broadcaster carte-blanche to program whatever they want on them. There's simply no business case for additional HD programming.
