A Piece Of Hamilton Radio History Is Repurposed

It's not just another condo, although that's what it will be used for. But the structure known as "The Radio Arts Building" in Hamilton is nearing completion. It was once the home of CHIQ-AM, the place where a very young Dave Mickie worked.

“Back in the ‘60s a brick building at the corner of King and Caroline broadcasting soft jazz and classic piano was deemed ‘Hamilton’s New Love’ CHIQ-AM."

It later became known as CJJD and CHAM. It will soon be known as something else - home to hundreds of people.
