In this radio environment, getting to 25 years with the same station would be amazing. But Jack Miller has doubled that expectation. The one time voice of the Belleville Bulls (who also called some Ottawa Senators games for a time) and sportscaster for CJBQ has been with the station for half a century.
And if you think 50 years is unusual, consider - the station still has an actual real live sportscaster. Not even many of the Toronto radio giants can make that claim.

CJBQ. What a great example of local radio. Quite often I will listen to the Freddy Vette show (via their good sounding stereo stream). What a pleasure. CJBQ does not appear to have any trouble selling local ads either.
Also least when you expect it CJBQ has a 3 hour live show with Jim Wright on Sunday afternoons from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. Mr. Wright plays many songs you don't hear anymore.
Congrats CJBQ. Well done.
Is CKOT paying attention?

Glenn Woodcock on Jazz FM is also known for being at it for near 50 years! It is really something to behold in this business.
