It's hard to remember when Chuck Woolery was host of Wheel Of Fortune, but he was the original emcee when the game first premiered on NBC in 1975. He lasted six years, before giving way to the more familiar Pat Sajak. He's probably best remembered from his time fronting another game-like show, Love Connection.
His later years were clouded by controversial comments about COVID and anti-Semitism.
He was 83.

I remember Chuck Woolery hosted the GSN version of Lingo from 2002 to 2006. He also hosted Scrabble in the 1980's. He will be missed by the Game Show community.

He also hosted a game show on FOX called Greed in 1999-2000, which launched in the midst of the prime time quiz show revival. It only lasted one season but for younger viewers Woolery was known for Greed.

I remember him very well for Greed. Watched it every Friday.
The show was prematurely cancelled.
It's too bad Fox didn't see a future for this game show.
I thought it was great.

I did not know he was a pop singer. Very interesting facts about him. I also did not know that he did children shows too.
