Yet Another Foreign Version Of Jeopardy! Debuts Here - From Australia

If you liked (or even hated) the U.K. version of Jeopardy!, you may be curious about yet another incarnation of the answers and questions show.

According to new TV listings, on Sunday Nov. 17th, CHCH will not only be showing Jeopardy! U.K., but another entry - Jeopardy! Australia.

In case you're curious how they do it Down Under, you can sit down with a vegemite sandwich and watch it on Channel 11 (in place of the British Wheel of Fortune) at 8 PM that night.

For those curious about what this looks like, the Australian version of Jeopardy! airs Sunday night at 8 PM on CHCH. Good day (night?) mate!

Finally got around to watching the Australian version of Jeopardy.  Carbon copy of the UK version, same set, same host, Stephen Fry, and much slower pace than what we are use to.  The Australian franchise is actually shot in England, so this explains the similarities.  The contestants are all ex-pats living in the UK and Europe and some categories are geared for the Australian audience.

I don't mind the slower pace of the show, which allows the host more time to chat and comment on the answers and questions.  Fry is exceedingly polite and comes across as genine and friendly.  Both the UK and Oz versions are one hour long.

I forgot about the Australian version this past Sunday, will have to keep an eye out for it. I'm so used to the NA version that the slower pace of the other two is going to take some getting used to.
