I don't know why but the sports world seems to be rather accepting of the generational hand-offs.

The two Bowens did the second period together on Monday's rare afternoon game. Did anyone hear this? How did the kid sound?

His son sounded fine. He better hope he finds a TV gig. I bet that once Joe retires, they'll do away with having a dedicated radio crew for the Leafs.

Here's the story, which has finally been posted online. The kid (is he still a kid at 24?) got the chance to call a goal, which must have been a thrill.

One of his other sons Sean, is the in stadium host for Argo games at BMO and does a great job
