If this posting is out of order for this site, I appologize. Just ignore it.
I got a new vehicle today, a Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross. I spent a couple of hours this afternoon sitting in the car, in the driveway, trying to figure out how to operate everything. The owner's manual is useless.
I set up the presets for AM and FM, but I have no idea how to do it for SXM. There isn't a word about it in the manual.
Do any of you have experience with this vehicle?

So for the most part in a vehicle with SiriusXM you just tune into the channel and then press and hold the spot that you would use for a Preset. Such as preset 1 for channel 6. preset 2 for channel 76 and so on. I know in the last few vehicles I have programmed the Sirius on it would be just go to the channel and long press until it beeps or flashes. Hope this helps you.

That's how I did it in my previous vehicles. This one doesn't even show any slots for SXM. It has 12 for AM and 12 for FM.

This is several years old, and not sure how they've revised things (look/feel or functionality), but is the basic principle:
Slightly different version:
Or SiriusXM's page:
Alternatively, just ask your dealership. I'm sure they get people wondering about the same types of things and can advise. If you don't want to make a special trip in or phone call/E-mail, ask when you next bring it in for routine service.
I wish the subject line for this thread was better than simply "Help Needed." A few extra words about the radio or the issue would help!

Thanks.

I have no idea what your car controls look like, but in my old Mazda 3 (which I miss every day compared to the horrible replacement of the same model I bought) it had AM & FM control choices, and another that just said "Satellite." Is it possible that is in your car and you just haven't found it?

Very possible. Too bad the owner's manual wouldn't mention it.

I suggest you take it back to the dealer and get them to show you, as you’d think there would be some instructions somewhere! I know this isn’t the most convenient suggestion but more of a last resort. Good luck!

I agree,,, the last 2 new cars I've had came with a young guy who would spend a half hour or so with me to explain all the electronics. I had to go back a couple of times but he was always helpful. Instruction manuals are highly over rated.

Here's what Sirius says about tuning in the satellite service.
Not sure it's going to be much help, but for what it's worth...
Also - and I should add the caveat that this is four years old so things could have changed - but you can watch the video below.

Yes, that's the same link I presented above. There's also a couple Youtube videos. Hopefully OP gets it sorted!

Sorry, missed that link. I've posted one of the videos you referred to (probably as you were typing this message!) with the caveat that it's four years old and the system might have changed since then. But could be worth a watch.

Sounds like a plan. First of all, I'll call them and see if they have such a guy on staff. It's a small dealership.

Thanks, everyone. I've solved it. Whereas the AM and FM both have on screen, numeric lists for presets, the SXM just displays icons for seemingly random channels across the bottom of the screen. If you tune to a channel you want, you just have to touch and hold one of the icons for a couple of seconds and it is replaced by the channel you have selected.
It would have been helpful if they had covered that in the owner's manual.

Good to hear turkeytop! Speaking of manuals, I recently bought a fairly advanced stove and was surprised that it didn’t come with a manual, which was actually needed. On contacting the manufacturer they told me that I had to download it as they don’t provide physical copies any more, for $800 you’d think they would!
