Why The Toronto Star's Rosie DiManno Should Never Be On Radio

Listening to the Mark Shapiro press conference on the Fan 590 Wednesday morning about the end of a terrible season for the Jays, when they went to the Q&A.

Up stepped Toronto Star muckraker Rosie DiManno, who said she'd heard verbatim from an unnamed member of the team that the organization was (and this is a quote) "fucking shit," then asked how he responded.

I was so busy laughing I honestly didn't hear his answer, but it went out over the air that way.

What is NOT true about that assessment of the Jays organization over the past few seasons?!?

If anything, we need MORE of that content on the radio these days...everything is so safe, partisan, lame and milquetoast.

After Rosie DiManno quoted the unnamed player, she said "pardon my language", to which Shapiro replied: "That's what I would expect from you, Rosie." DiManno then quipped: "You're such a charmer."

Unfortunately, this was the most entertaining part of today's press conference.

The Blue Jays need to bring back J.P. Riccardi.  He had more 'three year plans' than Stalin's Soviet Union.  Probably would know how to handle a Menshevik like Ms. DiManno.  A gulag in Wiarton. 😁

Radio, y'know, absolutely, y'know, adored DiManno's, y'know, soul sister Christy Blatchford.

At one time Rosie was referred to as "The anti Christy."
They were actually friends in real life.

“Milquetoast”, good choice of words Johnny B!
