It's because of Truth and Reconciliation Day. Global will also skip its regular noon newscast.
It's unclear what CTV will be showing in the usual 5 PM slot.

I guess that will happen with CTV London and CTV Kitchener.

Corner Gas, if the TV listings website is to be believed.

So I imagine CP24 will continue with its usual programming instead of simulcasting the mother ship.

I just checked my local (Rogers Ignite) program guide and 2 hours of Corner Gas will air on CKCO at 5:00.
What's even more interesting is I noticed that at 12 noon, they're showing the CTV News Channel for an hour. Don't know when they started doing this but they must have been hearing screams of protest from folks who miss their noon newscast.

Just like when they are showing the 5:30 national newscast on CTV 2 that also airs on the main CTV network. I agree putting a feed from the newschannel works but I don't think many local Kitchener residents like it. They miss their local noon newscast.

Vassy Kapelos' noon-2 PM radio show is also a reroll on Monday.

I am on TV Passport and it appears that Corner Gas is in the 5PM slot. CTV Barrie's 6PM newscast is half hour. No news for London, Windsor and Kitchener.
