This has apparently been around since 2011, but to be honest, it's the first I've heard of this - Rogers Communications is running a bank. Mostly, Rogers Bank is a credit card service with accounts you can keep track of on your cell phone or computer. There are no branches, as far as I know.
My question - would you really want a company that controls your cable, your cell phones and all your sports teams, raising prices constantly along the way, to handle your money? As the former head of MGM Sam Goldwyn once said, "Include me out."

Bank with Rogers? No thanks. Speaking of which, back about 15 years ago, Rogers got into real estate with a company they called Zoocasa. They ended up selling the company in 2015. I don’t think many are aware of this and I don’t think Rogers did too well with it, or they would have kept it. Zoocasa seems to be doing very well with the new owners!

Don't know anything about Zoocasa, but Rogers is into real estate development in a big, big way. Much of Mississauga's changing downtown skyline is because of Roger's huge M City development. Pictures of what they are building in Mississauga are near the bottom of the link..

The Rogers Mastercard is pretty great, especially if you're a customer.

Rogers offers a no-fee MasterCard with a 2% reward credit. The credit is worth 3% when applied to Rogers or Shaw services / products.
Example: spend $1000 and you receive a credit of $20 that can be applied to the card balance. That same credit is worth $30 if applied to a Rogers / Shaw product.
Given there is no fee associated with the card, this is about as good a reward program as it gets.

Some free US roaming days, too...and 3% back on all US dollar purchases.

The development is on the former CFTR AM transmitter site

That's what I use too.
I also hace a Canadian Tire card I only use at Canadian Tire, But I accumulate enough Canadian Tire dollars to get free stuff a couple of times a year.
