Cross has a new podcast called "Uncharted" about crime and scandal in the music industry. In a two-part episode now online, the veteran host looks back at separate times the controversy reared its head in radio.
The first one, most of us know, happened in the 50s, and involved figures like pioneering rock DJ Alan Freed.
The second concerns the later years in the 60s and 70s and beyond, when that scent of corruption resurfaced yet again, despite being officially banned.
The shows run 44 and 41 minutes respectively.
