You never know what you're going to get on the request line when a listener calls. But the folks at a Moose Jaw station were stunned and repeatedly harassed by a female caller who kept trying to request Buffalo Springfield's classic "For What It's Worth."
The woman would call all hours of the day and night asking for the song, noting a lyric in the first verse, "There's a man with a gun over there." She claimed to be that 'man' threatening to harm the employees if they didn't play the song and let her make comments about the hazards of the COVID vaccine.
Despite repeated warnings about knocking it off, she kept calling and calling, until she started turning up on their property, which made the employees feel very unsafe. She's currently being tried for mischief, causing a disturbance and continuing to do so after being warned to stop.
She's defiant to the end, insisting she's ready to go to jail for her beliefs. Let's hope they give her that chance.
By the way, what's really fascinating about the article below is they never mention which station this happened at. Golden West has four of them in Moose Jaw. My guess is 800 CHAB, a greatest hits station.

Play Misty For Me.
(will that comment go over some younger people's heads?)

As the staff at 640 know, there's a cadre of Port Perry methheads chomping at the bit to run them over with quotes from The Turner Diaries.
Pacify them. Do not platform them.
