I was surprised to hear an actual live show on CFRB Monday morning. Elias Makos, who is normally on CJAD, went live and national, which I did not expect. It wasn't local - he talked about Quebec - but a real host doing a real show on one of the biggest days off of the year? I'm going to listen to that. Good for them.

Sorry, RA but this doesn't square with your regular (and correct) stance about shows (properly or improperly) serving their audience.
You've posted about this issue previously with the consolidation of news programming, so why would you listen to a radio show that, by your own admission, wasn't serving you?

Other than 680's news, there was no other station doing anything live or original on the radio on Labour Day. It was just nice to hear an actual show that wasn't a reroll. It was only one - the rest of the day was endless best-ofs.
