Jazz FM's Glen Woodcock hosts is 48th anniversary of the Big Band Show

Being on air in this climate for any length of time is an amazing feat. But, for 48 years, every Sunday Night is amazing.

Perhaps the longest running radio show in the GTA.

Kudo's to Woodcock, for his consistency and loyal audience,

Here's more on the host and the show.

It is a Billboard article by Bill King (Radio host musician and the lead on the Beaches Jazz Fest).

It is from 3 years ago, and it is still relevant to today's 48th anniversary show.

Re: Jazz FM's Glen Woodcock hosts is 48th anniversary of the Big Band Show

The Sunday Night Big Band Show with Glen Woodcock has been re-broadcasting prior episodes the past several months. We learned tonight why from guest hosts Jim John and Alex Pangman (who was sublimely using a 1940s ribbon mic). This was due to a stroke suffered by Mr. Woodcock that affected his speech and some paralysis. He is on the mend, doing rehabilitation work, and has stated that he is resolved to return to the show he obviously loves. How glorious that will be.

btw Muffaraw Joe I did wait for you to perhaps update here, and I understand why you don't.
