Maybe they've been running and I missed them - I do tend to skip the ads on my DVR. Every year, one of the staples of late summer TV is the preview promos for new Fall series running on the major networks. They often provide the first footage you'll see of a new show and help give you an idea what it's about and whether it interests you enough to tune in. 

But unlike every single year I've watched over-the-air TV, I've seen very few of them this summer. Are they there and I've missed them? Or does it seem like they haven't been showing them in the summer of 2024? I can't fathom why they've changed this, but outside of a couple, primarily on CBS (and one on ABC), I've barely seen any. 

And by the way, this also was a big deal but isn't any more. TV Guide in the U.S. has just come out with its annual Fall Preview issue, which used to be the best selling edition of the year. But alas, it's also a shadow of its former self and most shows don't even get a page of their own now. (And doesn't "Doctor Odyssey," which grabs the cover this year and is about physicians aboard a luxury cruise liner sound like the dullest idea for a TV show yet?)
