"The Daily Show" Returns To Canadian TV - But On Cable Only
It's been a while since Canadians were able to access the critical hit "The Daily Show" on their TVs. But if you have Corus' Slice channel in your cable package you'll be able to watch it there every night at 11 PM, starting Sept. 9th. It used to air on free TV via CTV at midnight around the time Trevor Noah was hosting.
He's since left and acclaimed frontman Jon Stewart is now back on Mondays only, although in the Global story below, I think they're overplaying it a bit by inferring in the headline that he's on every night of the week. Nonetheless, the return of this daily satirical commentary program about current political events in the U.S. will be welcomed by many, especially during an American election year.

Montreal columnist Steve Faguy reports the show may still be available on Paramount+ in this country, but I don't know how many subscribers it has on this side of the border - or if Corus will use its new rights agreement to demand it be stripped off that site here.

Here is an intresting part of the blog. It says that: "The Daily Show might be enough to convince people to subscribe to Slice, whose total revenues dropped 10% from 2022 to 2023, according to CRTC data. So does this mean that this might help Corus Entertainment's financial troubles improve?
