It doesn't really matter if you still watch the show. It's a sign of a disturbing trend that's taking popular shows off free TV and increasingly onto expensive streaming services.

More and more often, we're seeing things you used to get for free disappearing behind a paywall. I get that these corporations want to increase profits, but I can't help but wonder if they're going to starve their other one-time cash cow - free TV - into oblivion.

Hulu To Air Two Exclusive Family Guy Specials

That's a streamer not available in Canada. Whether they'll ever air here - like the shows themselves - remains to be seen. But it's a troubling trend and you can almost bet these won't be the last free shows to become pay only.
