Jeff Woods has been around a long time, and currently airs his "Records & Rock Stars" syndicated show on Sauga960 in this area. He's already written one book and has launched a Go-Fund-Me page to help him get another published.

Wow. Maybe I shouldn't have opened that link.
Except for the tattoos, the guy looks almost exactly like me. Could be my twin

Tats included? The guy has more ink than a Bic pen factory.

While you were posting this, I was editing mine, to exclude the tats.

Jeff visited me Wednesday to talk about being bi.
There's also talk about Derringer, the Corus cuts, Macko and more.

So why wouldn't this guy submit his manuscript to some publishers and try to sell it? That's the way the book business usually works.

He should have spent less money on tattoos.

Sometimes the posters on here remind me of bullies in a schoolyard. Jeff Woods is one of the most talented broadcasters I've ever worked with...and I worked with Jeff a lot on many syndicated radio programs. On top of that, he's a damn great guy.
So he has tattoos...so what That's his business and his body.
Some people use Amazon to publish their books, some go the publisher route, and some like Jeff on this case, use crowdfunding like Go-Fund-Me.
Jeff has done many amazing things in both radio and record companies.
He has my total respect and has always had my friendship.

I don't think any offence was intended, but it's hard not to notice all that ink. It's his choice, of course, and it doesn't affect his terrific on-air abilities in any way.
"Records and Rock Stars" airs on Sauga960, and I only wish it had a better local outlet than a weak AM signal from Mississauga. It deserves to be heard in stereo on a Toronto FM station somewhere.
By the way, if you're curious about the show, it airs Sundays at 6 PM on CKNT.

I agree with Doug. Jeff is a great guy. I have met him several times over the years while I lived in Collingwood, where he has a studio and lives. If I recall correctly, Records and Rock Stars is aired on Rock 95 Barrie at noon.

There are multiple ways to go about publishing a book in the 2020s. Self-publishing or kickstarting is an absolutely valid way to do it. No middleman, all the risk and all the reward.
That’s also how the book business can work.

I think he missed a chance for a better title than "Being Bi."
I might have called it "Bi: The Book" and hope people would do just that!

I was going to say something like this, only be a bit more of an ass . He's a great guy, talented as hell, and so fucking smart.
I hope a lot more people line up to support him. I can't figure out if it's unfortunate one of the biggies didn't beat a path to his door to publish this, or he gets to do it on his own terms. Either way, count me in.
ig.
(By the way, I'd pay again for the audio book. What a great listen that would be . I'm surprised it's not on there... yet.. )

He still has a weekly gig on 94.9 in Oshawa playing classic rock Sundays Noon-6pm.

Thanks. I'll give it a listen this weekend.
