You know it's going to happen - with the record precipitation that's hitting Toronto over the next four days without any let up, news writers will be falling all over themselves to pick a few choice lyrics as a way to introduce the seemingly never-ending weather story. I'm talking about places like CP24, David McKee on RB and of course, seemingly everyone on 680 News.

A few possible choices:

Rainy Days & Mondays - Carpenters (If it's still pouring out by then)

Raindrops Keep Fallin' - B.J. Thomas (The title lyric)

"Blame It On The Rain" - Milli Vanilli (If anyone actually had the nerve to play these guys.)

Vancouver's all traffic station likes to use Garbage's "I'm only happy when it rains" when going to weather news on their station.
(yes, Garbage really is the name of the band, lol)

Well, I guess now that the monsoon has passed, someone has to play "I Can See Clearly Now (The Rain Is Gone)" by Johnny Nash.

The 1993 version by Jimmy Cliff works just as well. I'd say better, but I suppose that's all a matter of opinion.
