The man behind a number of Canadian hits in the early-to-mid-'70s including "I Just Want to Make Music", "Dream #2" and "Every Bit of Love", as well as The Bells "Stay Awhile", which was also a Top 10 hit stateside, is currently in the hospital dealing with a tumor.

"To my Facebook friends, it is difficult for me to talk right now, but I will try to say this is fastest and as clearly as I can I’m in hospital and I’m having a serious operation coming up a tumour on my in my head I would just like to say Say a prayer for me but I think everything is going to be all right. It is gonna be difficult but I send my love out to you and all I just need is maybe a thought about healing for me love you. 
Love, Ken it is difficult for me to write as my two lobes don’t come together quite well. I hope you can understand what I have just said lots of love to my friends and fans. You’re also very nice to me. Blessings from the heart"
