Corus situation

Very sad to see the state of affairs at my old employer. I hope for the best for current staff.

On another note, I bought Corus shares  today @ $.12 to see what happens. Money down the drain?

Re: Corus situation

Well, at 12 cents a share, hopefully not MUCH money!

Re: Corus situation

I bought 500 shares on Friday night but it didn't execute until Monday morning.  Was originally at 20 cents but I bought at 13.5 cents..

Oh well, it's $67.50 down the drain but hey, maybe there's a white knight on the horizon.

Good thing this isn't coming out of my retirement fund.

If you can't afford to lose $67.50, I know you must have worked in radio!

Re: Corus situation

Spend 67.50 to buy a down and out radio chain so you can then employ people to work for you for 67.50 a week.

Re: Corus situation

This is a sad commentary not only on Corus, but the industry at large.

Re: Corus situation

It looks like the one person morning show scenario is real... after 28 years, Pete Dalliday announced today he's leaving Fresh 100.5 Peterborough to pursue his passions and wishes co-host Dani Guppy good luck in as he puts it 'continuing the shows legacy'. Pete is an excellent play by play guy and will no doubt be able to secure something more to his liking than the 4am wake up calls.

Guess they hadn't told the Toronto news factory that they're covering Peterborough every day now, yet.

Re: Corus situation

Putting the Ex in CHEX: Pete Dalliday posted his farewell on Facebook today. What's significant is that his father Gary Dalliday had started in 1975 as CHEX sports broadcaster, so this ends a two-generation legacy with CHEX TV/radio that almost made it to 50 years.
